Greg Maddux

Greg Maddux was one of the best pitchers in baseball, but he didn’t throw super fast like a lot of other famous pitchers. Instead, he was really smart and could put the ball exactly where he wanted it. He played for a bunch of teams, including the Chicago Cubs, the Atlanta Braves, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the San Diego Padres. During his career, he won tons of awards, like four Cy Young Awards in a row and 18 Gold Gloves, which is pretty amazing. Maddux was known for making hitters miss by using movement and changing speeds instead of just trying to overpower them. A lot of people say he made pitching look easy because he was so calm and in control all the time.
